How can we get past the goldrush period of Drupal agencies, to create long term sustainable businesses that are successful, good community citizens, supported by the community, and actually delivering amazing service to clients while being healthy places to work? What would a business run in line with Drupal community values be like?
Following on from my session on Tuesday at Drupal Europe, After The Goldrush, this will be a small gathering of agency leaders (target audience is senior leadership of agencies with 5-100 staff).
How can we get past the goldrush period of Drupal agencies, to create long term sustainable businesses that are successful, good community citizens, supported by the community, and actually delivering amazing service to clients while being healthy places to work?
What have we learned about leadership development? What have we learned about healthy workplaces? What have we learned about being good community citizens? What have we learned about openness and transparency? What have we learned about long-term rather than short-term thinking? What have we learned about our role as leaders in upholding certain values? What are the values of the Drupal community and how can we build great businesses in alignment with those?
Come and share your questions and your learning. The objective is to get to a rough draft of a Drupal business manifesto to that we can refine in the following weeks and then sign up to, encouraging us to create better businesses, and in turn to create a stronger Drupal community.
